The Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, marked a significant moment with the inauguration of the new Court building for the Civil Judge Junior Division (JMIC) at Pahalgam. This pivotal event was attended by several esteemed judges from the High Court, including Justice V.C. Koul, Justice Sanjeev Shukla, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Sanjay Dhar, and Justice M. Akram Choudhary.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of various officials from the High Court Registry, including Registrar General Shazad Azeem, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice M.K. Sharma, Registrar Judicial Farooq Ahmed Bhat, Registrar e-courts Anoop Sharma, and Registrar Protocol Abdul Bari. Additionally, key judicial officers from District Anantnag, such as Principal District and Sessions Judge Jaffar Hussain Beigh, Chief Judicial Magistrate Faizan Iqbal, Secretary DLSA Tabassum Qadir, Sub Judge Bijbehara Muzammil Wani, Munsiff Aishmuqam/Pahalgam Fidah Hussain Nayek, and District Mobile Magistrate Traffic M. Ishtiaq Alam Baba, were in attendance.

The newly inaugurated Court Complex, constructed by PWD (R&B) Division Pahalgam with a project cost of Rs 614.04 lakh, holds significant importance. Apart from serving the traditional litigation needs, the court aims to cater to the legal requirements of tourists, including Amarnath Yatris. This development is poised to enhance the legal infrastructure in the picturesque town of Pahalgam.
