A collective of deputations from OBC organizations, led by Rashpaul Verma, Ex Vice Chairperson (MOS) & National Secretary BJP OBC Morcha, met Union MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh. They expressed gratitude for his efforts in changing the nomenclature of OSC into OBC in Jammu & Kashmir, a long-pending demand of the OBCs in the region.
The deputation apprised Dr. Jitendra Singh of pressing issues, including the deletion of the clause “Rural only” against four castes: Kumhar, Barber, Telli, and Dhobi. The deputation informed that the J&K government has initiated action, forwarded to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Department in New Delhi on 24/10/23 for necessary updates and actions.
Dr. Jitendra Singh assured the deputation of all possible help for the early resolution of these issues. Representatives of OBC organizations thanked the BJP Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Dr. Jitendra Singh for addressing the long-pending issues of the OBCs in Jammu and Kashmir, which had persisted for three decades.
The deputation included Rashpaul Verma, Balwant Kataria, Kewal Krishan Fottra, F C Sattia, Hans Raj Janghged Delhi, Gang Din Janged Suresh Janged, and others.
