Omar Abdullah Greets People on Mela Kheer Bhawani, Prays for Peace and Harmony

Srinagar, June 21 (BuzzBytes): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Kashmiri Pandit community, on the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani.
In his message, the Chief Minister conveyed warm wishes to devotees participating in the annual pilgrimage to the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district and to those offering prayers at temples across Jammu and Kashmir.
Describing the festival as an occasion of immense spiritual significance, Omar Abdullah said that Mela Kheer Bhawani reflects the rich cultural, religious and civilizational heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that the annual festival symbolizes faith, devotion, harmony and peaceful coexistence, values that have remained the hallmark of the region’s centuries-old composite culture.
The Chief Minister said the festival serves as a reminder of Jammu and Kashmir’s enduring traditions of communal harmony and mutual respect, which have united people of different faiths and backgrounds for generations.
