Jammu 1 March 2024:A delegation from the Pahari Tribe ST Forum, led by Sh. Vinod Gupta, recently met with Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha in Jammu to express deep appreciation to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the J&K Administration for their efforts in recognizing and empowering the Pahari community.During the meeting, members of the delegation, including Vikrant Sharma, Adv. Ahsan Mirza, Dr. Nitan Sharma, Adv. Gurdev Thakur, Adv. Sanjeev Sharma, Bharat Bushan Vaid, Syed Nusrat Shah, and Nadeem Mir, commended the government’s commitment to extending the benefits of Scheduled Tribes to the Pahari population in Rajouri and Poonch districts.The Pahari Tribe ST Forum expressed gratitude for the proactive steps taken by the authorities, emphasizing the positive impact these initiatives will have on the lives of the Pahari people. This significant development is regarded as a crucial milestone in the journey towards inclusive growth and the empowerment of marginalized communities in the region.
