BuzzBytes Jammu, Dec 20:Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, highlighted the significant impact of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in revolutionizing traditional crafts and uplifting local economies. Speaking at a workshop organized by BJP District President Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan, Gupta emphasized the scheme’s role in bridging the gap between age-old artistry and modern market demands.

Addressing party workers, Gupta stated that the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, initiated by the Modi Government, is designed to empower artisans across the nation. By providing enhanced access to resources, training, and market exposure, the scheme aims to breathe new life into the diverse tapestry of Indian craftsmanship. Gupta emphasized that this initiative ensures sustainable livelihoods and preserves cultural legacies for future generations.
Gupta urged party workers to proactively disseminate essential features of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at the grassroots level. He called for awareness campaigns to achieve saturation of the scheme across the Union Territory. Gupta stressed the crucial role of BJP’s foot soldiers in reaching out to eligible but unreached individuals, ensuring they benefit from the scheme.
The workshop also highlighted BJP’s upcoming celebrations of ‘Sushasan Diwas’ on December 25 and the birthday of Chaar Sahibzade on December 26. Rekha Mahajan, BJP District President, emphasized the full potential of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana in empowering aspirants, including youth and women.
Other speakers at the workshop included Neha Mahajan, Gen Secy Mahila Morcha, Indu Puri, Shailja Gupta, and Divya Mahajan. The event was attended by prominent BJP members, including Ayodhya Gupta, Charanjit Khalsa, Sunil Prajapati, and several others.
