In a recent development, the Department of Police in Srinagar executed an immediate reshuffle of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs). According to the directive, as reported by Srinagar-based news agency GNS, several officers have been reassigned to different postings within the region.

Zaheer Abbas, formerly with DySP SCRB, has now been transferred to SDPO Nehru Park Srinagar. Other notable transfers include Mohd Irfan Khan from DySP PCR Jammu to SDPO Arnas, and Owaise Rashid from DySP DAR Budgam to SDPO Bijbehara.

The reshuffling extends across various regions, affecting officers such as Ajaz Ahmad, Ashaq Hussain Dar, Abdul Ghafoor, Bhupinder Kumar, and others, each moving to new assignments.

Consequent to these orders, several officers, including Hilal Khaliq Bhat (SP), Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather (SP), Shah Umar (SP), and others, are instructed to report to ZPHQ Kashmir until their formal adjustment or posting.

In light of this directive, three DySsP—Prithpal Singh, Chabbil Singh, and Sheezan Bhat—also experience changes in their roles. The swift reshuffle aims to enhance efficiency and streamline responsibilities within the police force in the Srinagar region.
