District Police Kulgam Strengthens Community Ties through PCPG Meetings

December 29: In a proactive approach to address public grievances, the Kulgam Police, under the guidance of SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS, organized Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at key locations including Police Station Manzgam, Police Station Yaripora, Police Station Behibagh, and Police Post Frisal.

Chaired by jurisdictional officers, the meetings welcomed the participation of respected citizens from Manzgam, Kanjikullah, Palnoo, Matipora, Badroo, Frisal, Chinigam, and neighboring areas. Discussions centered on various issues of public concern, such as combating drug abuse, addressing food adulteration, resolving traffic congestion, tackling drinking water shortages, and addressing electricity problems.

The officers leading the meetings attentively listened to the concerns raised and assured prompt action, particularly for matters falling under other departments. They emphasized that issues related to the Police would be given priority attention.

Speaking at the gathering, the chairing officers highlighted the significance of such meetings in seeking community suggestions and support for effective policing. They expressed gratitude to the participants for their involvement and valuable suggestions.

Participants were urged to collaborate with the Police in maintaining law and order, while also playing a crucial role in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements aiming to disrupt the peaceful environment. The initiative showcased the commitment of District Police Kulgam to fostering a strong partnership with the community for enhanced security and well-being.
