BuzzBytes Chandigarh, Feb 7:In a significant development, Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force successfully apprehended three associates connected to terrorists, Lakhbir Singh Landa and Harwinder Singh Rinda. While Landa operates from Canada, Rinda is based in Pakistan.Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav announced the breakthrough, revealing that the police also seized two pistols and 10 cartridges from the arrested individuals. The captured suspects are Jobanjit Singh (known as Joban), Bikramjit Singh (Bikka), and Kulwinder Singh (Kala).Joban, a wanted individual, faced charges under various acts, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Arms Act, and the IT Act. Additionally, both Joban and Bikka were wanted in multiple cases of attempt to murder (IPC 307).”Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused were carrying out criminal activities on the directions of their foreign handlers,” stated Yadav. This operation marks a significant step in combating terrorism-related activities and ensuring the safety and security of the region.
