Chinese President Xi Jinping echoed these sentiments, calling for a ceasefire to ensure lasting peace and security in the region. Jinping underlined the imperative of implementing the two-state solution, restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation, and establishing an independent State of Palestine.

Previously, Saudi Arabia held the ‘Israeli occupation’ accountable for ‘crimes’ against Palestinians, urging an immediate ceasefire and expressing unwavering rejection of continued Israeli aggression and forced displacement in Gaza.

Bin Salman criticized the international community’s silence towards violations against Palestinian civilians, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts among Arab and Islamic states to lift the siege and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. He reiterated the call for a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The BRICS summit served as a platform for leaders to address the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, emphasizing diplomatic solutions and international cooperation in pursuit of peace.
