Secretary Sarmad Hafeez Chairs Mega Public Grievances Redressal Camp in Shopian

Peerzada Shariq Shopian, Dec 26: Secretary of Youth Services and Sports Department, Sarmad Hafeez, led a comprehensive public grievances redressal camp in Shopian, addressing a spectrum of issues raised by delegations representing various sectors. Delegations, including DD/BD Council, MC Councillors, Fruit Growers, Traders, Tribal leaders, activists, civil society members, SHG members, and others, voiced concerns and demands related to sports infrastructure, healthcare, development of green spaces, water supply, tourism initiatives, library upgradation, and more.

Issues spanning health, school education, RDD, R&B, higher education, and Sports Council were also brought to the forefront by locals. Secretary Hafeez directed officers to diligently follow up on the issues for timely resolution and urged better public engagement to make the district a model of sustainable development.

Emphasizing the need for robust grievance redressal mechanisms, Hafeez called for strengthened control rooms and help desks. He encouraged the public to leverage digital services for their benefits. Deputy Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb briefed the Secretary on measures taken by the district administration to address development gaps and enhance development parameters.

The event witnessed the presence of SSP Tanushree, ADDC Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ADC Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, Deputy Secretary YS&S Waseem Raja, along with DDC/BDC members, PRIs, and a large number of the public.
