Buzzbytes, Srinagar Dec21: Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism and Culture of Jammu & Kashmir, expressed optimism regarding the tourism prospects for the upcoming winter season. Shah confidently stated that this winter is poised to be a “grand success,” with renowned destinations such as Gulmarg and Pahalgam already witnessing high demand and being fully booked for festive occasions like Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Addressing the media at the SPS Museum in Srinagar, Shah elaborated on the initiatives undertaken to bolster tourism across the region. He emphasized, “Efforts are underway to highlight and promote lesser-known destinations during this winter season, aiming to ensure a respectable livelihood for our local communities.”
Reflecting on the promising trends in tourist footfall, both domestic and international, Shah reiterated his conviction, stating, “Considering the encouraging tourist arrivals we have observed thus far in Jammu & Kashmir, I am confident that this winter will indeed be a landmark success for the tourism sector in our region.” His remarks underscore the strategic efforts and optimism driving initiatives to revitalize and amplify tourism in J&K during the forthcoming winter months.
