In a momentous achievement, 21 players from Sham Lal Hockey Club Poonch, including 14 girls and 7 boys, proudly represented Jammu & Kashmir at the 67th National School Games held in Gwalior (MP). The talented players showcased their prowess in the U14 Boys and Girls as well as U17 Boys categories, leaving an indelible mark on the national stage.

The U14 Girls’ team, comprised entirely of players from district Poonch and Sham Lal Hockey Club, demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. Notably, all these young athletes are trainees of the Khelo India Hockey Centre Poonch, under the guidance of coaches Pawan Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, and Navjot Singh, all experienced hockey mentors.

The management of Sham Lal Hockey Club expressed gratitude to the LG Government of J&K UT and key officials, including Sh. Subash Chander Chibber, Director YSS, Sh. Jatinder Mishra, Deputy Director YSS, Sh. Suram Sharma, JD YSS, and DYSSO Poonch. Their support and encouragement have provided a vital platform for these talented players, especially the girls, to showcase their skills at the national level.
