Srinagar, October 10(Buzzbytes): In a significant development, two local terrorists affiliated with Lashkar-i-Toiba (LeT) met their end in a fierce encounter at Ashipora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district. The slain terrorists have been identified as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq, known as Abrar within the proscribed terror outfit LeT. Of note, Abrar was implicated in the tragic killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma.

The clash between terrorists and security forces erupted in the early hours in Shopian, marking a crucial step in the region’s ongoing efforts to combat militancy. According to Additional Director General of Police Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, this operation serves as a significant blow to LeT’s local presence.
