MS Nazki Surankote, December 2, 2023:* The Subedar Ram Singh SM Cricket Tournament, organized by the Thanamandi Battalion of the Romeo Force, Indian Army, concluded with an exhilarating finale at Bafliaz Surankote. The tournament, spanning from November 13 to December 2, 2023, showcased the passion and sportsmanship of 14 teams.
The climactic clash between the Panjal Warriors and the Sailan Cricket Club captivated the audience with a thrilling display of cricketing prowess. Ultimately, the Panjal Warriors secured victory with a 32-run margin, claiming the championship title in a fiercely contested match.
Azhar Bhat’s exceptional performance during the final earned him the ‘Man of the Match’ accolade, showcasing remarkable skill and dedication. Additionally, Abid Bhat received the prestigious ‘Man of the Tournament’ award for consistently delivering outstanding performances throughout the series.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Colonel Arul Thomas, Commanding Officer of Thanamandi Battalion, Mr. Riyaz Ahmed from DDC Bafliaz, Miss Tahira Tabassum Sarpanch of headquarters Pyt Bafliaz B, and other local influential personalities.
