Ganderbal, February 1, 2024:In a dedicated effort towards community engagement and public outreach, Ganderbal Police successfully organized Thana Diwas in the jurisdiction of PS Kangan. The event, chaired by SSP Sandeep Gupta-IPS, showcased a commitment to address and resolve public grievances promptly.Accompanied by SDPO Kangan, Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, and SHO Kangan, Shri Turk Zahoor, SSP Sandeep Gupta actively listened to various concerns raised by the public. He assured citizens that genuine grievances related to the police would be prioritized for resolution, and those pertaining to civil administration would be taken up with the respective departments for swift redressal.During his address, SSP Sandeep Gupta emphasized the need to revamp policing at the grassroots level, aiming to enhance the skills of law enforcement officers and build confidence among the local population. Thana Diwas was highlighted as a crucial initiative to bridge the gap between the police and the public, providing a platform to address and redress the grievances of the community.SSP Gupta underscored the significance of community policing, stating that it is essential to bolster public confidence, aiding in the fight against crime and social evils. Addressing concerns about criminal activities, officers were urged to tackle issues like drug abuse with a missionary spirit, striving to eradicate social problems from the society.Participants were encouraged to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order and identifying any anti-national or anti-social elements that may disrupt the peaceful environment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from both sides, highlighting the collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the community to foster a safer and more secure society.
