In a somber turn of events, a truck driver hailing from Punjab met an untimely demise, reportedly due to a heart attack, in the Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased, identified as Ashok Kumar, approximately 50 years old, experienced sudden chest pain while at the Food Corporation India Store in the Shilvat area of Sumbal.

Swift action was taken as he was rushed to a nearby hospital, yet, tragically, medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Authorities have initiated necessary procedures, with the body being transferred to the CHC Hospital Sumbal for formalities. A police officer confirmed the registration of a case in connection with the incident, signaling the commencement of further investigation into the matter.
