New Delhi, Aug 28 (BuzzBytes): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Friday celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan in Ahmedabad with girls from his parliamentary constituency who are suffering from Type-1 diabetes, saying the Modi government is providing free insulin for life to all such children across the country.
In a post on ‘X’, Shah said children afflicted with Type-1 diabetes require insulin injections for life, which places a significant financial burden on their families, and that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is providing free insulin for life to all such children. He described the initiative as one that even many developed nations are currently striving to implement, calling it a testament to the Modi government’s commitment to the principles of “Service, Compassion, and Security.”
Under Shah’s guidance, children aged 0 to 18 years suffering from Type-1 juvenile diabetes in the Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency have been brought under an integrated system comprising screening, diagnosis, insulin and treatment, monitoring and follow-up to provide lifelong essential insulin. “For the Modi government, public service is not merely a responsibility but the guiding principle of compassionate governance. Only when the health of daughters is secure will the future of the family and society be secure,” Shah said, extending his best wishes to the girls for the festival and wishing them good health and a bright future—(BuzzBytes)
