Srinagar, Dec 15: In a stark revelation, prominent socio-political activist and senior trade union leader, Mohammad Altaf Dar, has drawn attention to the pervasive issue of artificial milk flooding local markets. Reports indicate that unregulated sales of milk blended with harmful chemicals pose severe health threats, with little oversight from the food control department.

Artificial milk, instead of nurturing, has been linked to a range of diseases, from food poisoning to more serious issues like heart problems and even cancer, with fatal consequences reported. Compounding the problem, dairy shop owners are neglecting health standards, putting consumers’ well-being at risk.
Mohammad Altaf Dar urgently implores the LG Administration, government, and relevant authorities to take swift and decisive action against those involved in the production and sale of hazardous artificial milk. Immediate measures are needed to halt the spread of these harmful products and enforce strict regulations on dairy shops engaged in such practices.
The community’s health is at risk, and Dar emphasizes that taking action now is crucial to prevent further harm. Authorities are urged to prioritize the well-being of citizens and ensure the safety of dairy products in the market.
