The transformative Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, dedicated to saturating government schemes and reaching the unreached, resonated with success in Pulwama District. The grand celebration, covering 10 Panchayats today and a total of 116 Panchayats in the District, was hosted under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom (IAS), at Pinglena.

Welcoming the Chief Guest, Block Development Officer Kakapora emphasized the program’s primary goal of ensuring every individual benefits from government initiatives. The event commenced with the Prime Minister’s earnest message, setting the tone for the Yatra’s objectives. A pledge ceremony led by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama saw participants commit to the transformative journey.

Cultural performances by local students added vibrancy, while beneficiaries shared personal stories of positive transformations under government schemes. BDC Chairperson Kakapora applauded the Yatra for tangible changes and stressed the need for continued awareness.

DDC Member Kakapora echoed the importance of seamlessly reaching people with government programs, making individuals self-sufficient. Deputy Commissioner Pulwama thanked public representatives, emphasizing the Yatra’s success depends on public participation.

He highlighted the Yatra’s essence: a collective effort to ensure no one is left behind. Addressing crucial issues, Deputy Commissioner emphasized public support for a litter-free environment and united action against the drug menace.

In the ongoing Yatra, over 16,000 individuals underwent health screenings. Pulwama District achieved saturation of Ayushman cards, and digitization of land records marked milestones. The collaborative efforts of the public and government departments continue to drive the Yatra’s success, ensuring comprehensive outreach and impact. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra remains a pivotal initiative toward a developed Bharat by 2047.
