KhushiKeswani is among the prominent women entrepreneur of Gujarat . She is offering new trends in Tailoring and Fashion Designing.
Hailing from Gujarat she is treating new path in giving excellent shape to clothes. At the age of 33, she is trying to give new dimensions to Tailoring and Fashion Designing.
She runs her own initiative Happy Stitches.
In an exclusive interview with the Heaven Mail, She talks to Rameez Makhdoomi.
A bit about your early days ?
I did my schooling in St. Mary’s Ahmedabad. We had good curricular activities helping and supporting our growth individually too. I also was quite active as child .
How was academic life like ?
I did my academic in science and hence we had mostly everything scheduled. Projects, practicals, study rooms. I never had an idea i wud carry on my career into a completely different field. But overall I enjoyed my academics.
Tell us a bit about doorstep tailoring ?
We had started this service back in 2018, where we thought, women are mostly busy, be it their office, home or kids. So we offered fully tailored clothes at door steps. This service was most loved by women who preferred this service. We send our female executive who helps them with fabric and measurements and delivery of stitched outfits.
When we had started this servive back in 2018, we offered a free pick n drop tailoring services keeping in mind the convenience and ease of time and effort. This service has been loved by many and we have got positive feedback overall.
How many employees work in your concern ?
We currently have 5 employees two of them are masters who give a complete stitched outfits, and 1 khatwork karigar who brings our beautiful hand embroideries and 2 female team mates for customer service.
What services you offer ?
We help in customising outfits for women. From basics to ethnic to western outfits. We also help in revamping an old saree or outfit to a new dress. We believe in minimal designs and elevating the outfit with different cuts and details.
We also help in customising outfits for men too.
What fashion trends you are following -l?
We mostly are inspired by classic trends, which are relaxed fits too. But when customising outfits, we keep in mind the clients’ requirement and taste and can design outfits which are dramatic and elegant chic.
Your message to women?
My message to women is that settle for nothing less than you deserve. And you deserve the entire universe. I believe women are the strongest creature on earth, make sure you know that power within you. Dream it work for it and achieve it. Keep going.
What are the main future goals of Happy stitches?
The future goals of happy stitches – is to have a service centre atleast in 3 metro cities, where we mainly take up the customisation/tailoring.
We also look forward to build our label under happy stitches where we sell our designed garments across the globe keeping in mind, that we bring accross the heritage of India or Gujarat by our authentic products.
What is currently more in demand?
In demand depends on the age you cater, but women now prefer comfortable wear. And definitely handwoven/ handloom fabrics are also rising in trend.
