Yasha Mudgal Reviews Physical and Financial Progress on HADP Projects

BuzzBytes Jammu, December 18: Today, Yasha Mudgal, the Mission Director of the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), chaired a comprehensive meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu. The primary agenda was to review the component-wise physical and financial progress of ongoing HADP projects.

The meeting witnessed the participation of Chairpersons of Project Grounding and Monitoring Committees (PGMC), along with Technical Officers of APD. Key figures in attendance included Ghulam Rasool Mir (Director, Horticulture Kashmir), Imam Din (Managing Director, JKHPMC), and Choudary Mohammad Iqbal (Director Agriculture Kashmir).

Discussions encompassed various crucial aspects of HADP projects, such as the development of seed and seed multiplication chain, promotion of niche crops, cultivation of vegetables under open and hi-tech/protected cultivation, promotion of medicinal/aromatic plants, farm mechanism and automation, and production of designer plants for orchard rejuvenation.

The Chairpersons of PGMCs and Technical Officers provided detailed insights into the progress made so far in line with the implementation of HADP projects in Jammu and Kashmir.

Yasha Mudgal directed the PGMCs to strictly adhere to the predefined timelines for completing activities/components across all projects. She emphasized the critical importance of achieving self-sufficiency in the production of high-quality seeds, root stock, and fruit plants for the economic prosperity of farmers in J&K.

Moreover, she stressed the need for a holistic approach, urging all stakeholders to identify short and long-term goals for a comprehensive and strategic roadmap. Synergy among stakeholders was highlighted as crucial to ensuring seamless execution and coordination between different project components and teams.

In conclusion, Yasha Mudgal expressed confidence in the success of HADP projects, provided they continue to address challenges proactively and work collectively towards the common goal of agricultural development in the region.
