Banagund Village in Pulwama Faces Deprivation of Basic Facilities, Congress District President Assures Redressal

Shabnam Fayaz Pulwama 02 Feb: Ghulam Qadir, the District President of Pradesh Congress in Pulwama, visited Banagund village to address the grievances and demands of its residents. The locals expressed concern over the absence of basic facilities such as roads, water supply, electricity, and irrigation.Residents highlighted issues with the electricity transformer, citing it as insufficient for the area and prone to frequent damage, plunging the village into darkness. They pointed out the perilous practice of hanging electric wires on trees. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, a resident, lamented the lack of essential facilities in the modern era, urging the district administration to address the pressing needs of the area.Ghulam Qadir, after firsthand experience of the situation, emphasized that Banagund village is deprived of fundamental facilities that are their basic rights. He urged the district administration and LG administration to promptly provide these essential amenities to enhance the residents’ quality of life.
