New Delhi, 30 December. BJP founder member, former MP Dr RK Sinha has accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi of embezzling crores of rupees of daily wage construction workers and has demanded to register a case against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Labor Minister Gopal Rai and arrest them.
In a crowded press conference at the Constitution Club here today, former MP Dr Sinha said that many complaints are pending in the Labor Department of the Delhi Government, but they are not being investigated. He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party robbed the rights of real workers by making its supporters and workers fake construction workers. He has demanded the government to get this matter investigated by the CBI.
The former BJP MP said that the government, which claims honesty, got its own people registered by not registering the workers who came from Bihar, Orissa and other states. Whereas even its verification was not done.
Mr. Sinha said that Aam Aadmi Party formed unions at its own level and made arbitrary members and used them as cadres.
The former MP claimed that this scam, which has been going on since 2014, is still going on. If the central government does not stop the amount being distributed indiscriminately, it will reach 4500 crores.
He said that CBI should investigate the registration done through fraud. Mr. Sinha has demanded from the central government that a criminal case should be registered against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and a case should be filed.
He told that fortnightly magazine ‘Yathawat’ had raised this scam loudly in February 2018. Later a case was registered in the Anti Corruption Bureau. But the matter got entangled in the setting and red tape of the AAP government.
Senior journalist Padmashree Ram Bahadur Rai, group editor of magazine ‘Yathawat’, who was present at the press conference, told that the money distributed by the Delhi government without investigation did not reach the real labourers. The government acted arbitrarily and benefited party supporters. On this occasion, former Joint Labour Commissioner Munish Gaur revealed the entire fraud being committed by the Delhi government. He said that in 2005, there used to be five to six labour unions in Delhi. The government has increased their number to 90 to 100 through fraud. The MLAs of the government are also involved in this.
