Candlelight March Held in Shahgund Against Kulgam Civilian Killing

Hajin: A candlelight march was held in Shahgund on Tuesday evening in protest against the killing of Manzoor Ahmad in a militant attack in Kulgam district on Monday afternoon.

The civil society of Shahgund took to the streets on Tuesday evening and held a candlelight vigil to denounce the killing of civilians.

According to the protesting members, they collectively condemned the killings, which they believe are against the spirit of humanity.
As a mark of protest, the Civil Society of Shahgund organized the candlelight march against the civilian killings.

The candlelight march began from the main market of Shahgund, passed through various localities, and culminated at Sumo Stand Shahgund, where protesters expressed their sympathies with the families of the innocent civilians targeted by militants.
The protesters strongly condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the victims’ families.

“Killing innocent civilians is the biggest crime, and the perpetrators must be punished for their actions. It is against the ethos of humanity,” the protesters said.
