In a celebration of academic excellence and empowerment, the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Social Education organized a commendation ceremony for girl students in Shopian. The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, presided over the event, felicitating NEET, 10th, and 12th toppers.
During the ceremony, the ADDC emphasized the significance of girl child education, lauding the government’s initiatives to safeguard the Right to Life and Right to Education of the girl child. The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Shopian, Ibrar Hussain, provided insights into the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) program and its accomplishments.
Cash prizes and mementos were awarded to 13 Girl Toppers of 10th and 12th class, along with recognition for a NEET qualifier. The ceremony aimed at recognizing and encouraging academic excellence among girl students, furthering the objectives of the BBBP program.
