Ramban, February 3, 2024Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary chaired a meeting in Ramban to review the progress and achievements under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district. Stressing the importance of comprehensive coverage at the grassroots level, the DC urged all line departments to work diligently for balanced development across all panchayats.Active farmer involvement was highlighted as crucial for successful HADP implementation. Officials were directed to engage and educate farmers about various schemes, ensuring effective execution. To enhance market access for local produce, the DC instructed the General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC) to facilitate the establishment of rural huts for Farmers Producer Organizations (FPO). Plans were made to organize a Kissan Mela to educate the farming community, featuring insights from progressive farmers.Reviewing progress departmentally and sector-wise, the DC emphasized achieving scheme saturation at the panchayat level for uniform development. The meeting approved 486 cases under HADP, encompassing initiatives in Animal Husbandry and Agriculture. These initiatives aim to support the farming community through promotions like dairy and poultry farming, niche crops, farm machinery, vermi compost units, hi-tech PG houses, and integrated farming systems.Chief Planning Officer Shakeeb Rather, GM DIC Ravinder Anand, District Nodal Officer (HADP) CAHO Dr. Suhail Kawosa, CAO Ram Gopal Sharma, LDM Rashid Sofi, DDM NABARD Arushi Sharma, Deputy Register Cooperative Priyanka Sharma, and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
