SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 07:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, led a proactive Mega Public Grievance Redressal Camp in Bakshipora-Tengpora Eidgah, underscoring the administration’s commitment to addressing local concerns promptly.The event, part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative, drew active participation from residents of Palpora, Achan, Goripora, Reshipora, Takanwari, Bakshipora, Wani Mohalla, and neighboring areas. Public delegations and individuals seized the opportunity to highlight developmental needs, including water supply, infrastructure upgrades in health and education, drainage enhancements, road repairs, and other local issues.DC Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat emphasized the importance of such grievance redressal camps, stating that they serve to conduct on-the-ground assessments of local concerns for timely resolution. Addressing the crowd, he assured residents that their legitimate demands would receive priority attention with proper follow-up for swift redressal.Instructing officers to conduct field visits for firsthand assessment of public issues, the DC emphasized the need for a joint mega awareness camp on Saturday. The camp, led by various departments, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, ICDS, and Employment, aims to raise awareness about government-sponsored welfare schemes, especially targeting the youth.Encouraging local youth to embrace government welfare schemes for self-employment, Dr. Bhat stressed the importance of earning a livelihood with dignity and honor.
