Kupwara, October 03: Ayushi Sudan, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Kupwara, conducted an inspection of the Water Reservoir at Wayne Kupwara, which is currently under construction as part of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The Superintendent Engineer of PHE (Public Health Engineering), Mohammad Saleem Malik, accompanied the DDC during the inspection.
The DDC was briefed that the Water Reservoir, with a cost of Rs. 9 crore, has a capacity of 5 lakh gallons. This reservoir is expected to provide water supply to a population of 35,000 people residing across six villages in the Kupwara block.
It was also noted that both the source and distribution points have been connected with pipes.
During the visit, Ayushi Sudan emphasized the importance of maintaining the quality of the work and ensuring that the project is completed within the stipulated time frame.
