KUPWARA, JANUARY 10: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ms. Ayushi Sudan chaired a District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) meeting to finalize the scale of finance for Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Fisheries, Animal, and Sheep Husbandry for the year 2024-25 at the DC Office.During the meeting, the DDC gathered detailed feedback from officers regarding input costs for various crops and directed them to maximize farmer coverage under the schemes.The DLTC engaged in a comprehensive discussion to determine the Scale of Finance for providing short-term loans as working capital for field crops. Costs associated with sub-items such as fodder, fertilizer, pesticides, labor, and manure were thoroughly examined in the context of crop cultivation and dairy animal maintenance.The committee’s finalized rates will be forwarded to the State Level Technical Committee, playing a crucial role in shaping the Potential Credit Plan for the district.The meeting saw the participation of officials from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Floriculture, Fisheries, as well as representatives from the banking sector. Subsequently, DDC chaired a separate meeting to review the progress of the HADP under the Animal Husbandry Sector. Stressing maximum beneficiary coverage, she emphasized intensifying awareness campaigns about the scheme among farmers and unemployed educated youth for widespread benefits.
