Srinagar, Jan 16: The Meteorological department reports that a feeble Western Disturbance (WD) is expected to influence the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in light snowfall during the next 24 hours. The night chill continues to intensify across the Valley.According to the local Meteorological department, light rain and snow are anticipated over isolated middle and higher reaches tonight (January 16). Additionally, another feeble WD is predicted to affect J&K on January 20th night, bringing the likelihood of light rain and snow over isolated middle and higher reaches.The night temperatures remain below freezing point across the Valley, with Srinagar recording a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius. Qazigund reached minus 4.4 degrees Celsius, while Pahalgam, the coldest place, recorded a low of minus 5.4 degrees Celsius.
