Government Launches Massive Recruitment Drive to Fortify J&K Police

BuzzBytes Jammu 19 Feb 2024:In a proactive measure to bolster the security apparatus in Jammu and Kashmir, the government has initiated a massive recruitment drive, referring 4022 vacancies of Constables in J&K Police to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). The move underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the region’s residents.The Constable positions, last advertised in 2019, will play a crucial role in reinforcing the ranks of the constabulary within the UT Police. Additionally, there are 1689 vacancies for Constable Executive Police in the divisional cadre, with 1249 posts allocated for Jammu and 440 for Kashmir.The recruitment process, set to be conducted by the Services Selection Board, presents a vital opportunity for aspiring candidates to contribute to the law enforcement efforts in the region.
