“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.” In addition to his wise words, a message to all my students: Freedom is in trying, in pursuing, in the intent and act and without letting your inhibitions become your own shackles. Freedom is in growing above our fear of making mistakes and giving a whole hearted attempt to what feels authentic. And in this day and age where the world is running amok with ideas and inventions, it’s crucial to accept making mistakes rather than regretting not making a 100% honest attempt. Honoring the legend who truly cleared our vision of what it means to be free.
