The massive participation in the Tiranga Rally in Srinagar is a resounding reply to those who once claimed that no one in the valley would ever pick up the Tri-colour if Article 370 was revoked. Today, we see the Tiranga proudly held in every hand, and the overwhelming enthusiasm in the rally is exactly what every Kashmiri has longed for.
Leading the rally from Botanical Garden, the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, expressed his pride in witnessing not only officials from the administration and police officers, but also a large number of Srinagarites. This is a proud moment for all of us, as it signifies a shift in mindset and a deep understanding of our responsibility to be part of this change and show respect to the Tiranga.
Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh also hailed the massive participation of locals in the Tiranga yatra as a welcome development. While acknowledging the overall peaceful situation in Kashmir, he highlighted the ongoing efforts to misguide the youth through social media. However, he reassured that the number of terrorists remains minuscule. This year, successful operations were conducted on the LoC, resulting in the elimination of a large number of infiltrators.
The energy and enthusiasm displayed at the Tiranga Rally is contagious. It is a testament to the resilience and determination of the people of Kashmir.
