Pulwama, December 17, 2023:- In a bid to identify and nurture local volleyball talent, 55 Rashtriya Rifles organized a Volleyball Tournament in Pulwama district. The event, held from December 11 to December 17, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of eight teams, showcasing the vibrant sports culture in the region.
The tournament took place at Higher Secondary School Tahab, with league matches spanning from December 11 to December 15. The climax of the competition occurred on December 17, when the finals unfolded between Bandarpura A and Bandarpura B. Ultimately, Bandarpura A emerged victorious, claiming the championship trophy.
The initiative by the security forces in Pulwama district demonstrates a commitment to providing local sports enthusiasts with a platform to showcase their skills. The regular organization of sports tournaments in various areas of the district underscores the importance placed on promoting sports and fostering a healthy competitive spirit.
Expressing their gratitude, locals and participating sportspersons extended thanks to Chinar Corps 55RR for spearheading such events. The tournaments not only serve as a source of entertainment but also contribute significantly to the identification and encouragement of budding sports talent in the Pulwama district.
