Indian Army’s Swift Response Quells Blaze in Kanlibagh, Baramulla

Displaying remarkable efficiency and courage, the Indian Army swiftly responded to a major fire in Kanlibagh, Baramulla, on December 3.

The fire, which erupted at 09:15 PM in Ghulam Ahmad Nazar’s residence, rapidly spread to nearby houses and a wood factory.

Leading the charge was the 46 Rashtriya Rifles/79 Mountain Brigade Quick Reaction Team (QRT), stationed at Jhelum Stadium Company Operating Base.

Additional QRTs from Baramulla Garrison joined forces, coordinating seamlessly with local authorities to combat the blaze.

Working in tandem with civil fire tenders and Baramulla Police, the Reaction teams successfully extinguished the fire by 23:20.

Miraculously, no casualties were reported, but a furniture factory and four houses faced complete destruction, while adjacent houses sustained partial damage.

Commended by the local population and Government Administration as first responders, the Indian Army’s swift and effective intervention played a pivotal role in mitigating the crisis.

Notably, Army personnel courageously drove fire tenders through the affected area, underscoring their unwavering dedication to supporting firefighting efforts.

The Indian Army reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of the local population of Jammu and Kashmir, vowing to strive tirelessly whenever and wherever the situation demands.

The joint operation was launched by Baramulla Police, 46RR, District administration, Fire and Emergency Department, as well as locals.
