The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) has strongly denied allegations of non-issuance of examination forms, terming the news as fabricated and baseless. In a statement, the board clarified that the reported issue of non-facilitation for eligible candidates of affiliated academic institutions does not exist, emphasizing its role as an affiliating-cum-examining body that acts as a facilitator.

The board refuted any bias or conspiracy towards any institution, stressing its commitment to facilitating students and addressing misleading information. It clarified that academic institutions must adhere to the norms and guidelines set by the J&K BOSE and the Government School Education Department, ensuring the best interests of all stakeholders.

The statement highlighted the importance of compliance with mandated documents, emphasizing that non-compliance by petitioner schools cannot be undermined. The board asserted its awareness of students’ interests and commitment to facilitating them for all purposes.

Regarding the issue of schools with “other than proprietary” land titles, the board mentioned that it is pending adjudication in various writ petitions before the Hon’ble Court. The J&K BOSE assured that it remains under an obligation to take necessary steps to safeguard the academic interests of the students and reiterated its commitment to deny no institution the right to foster mandatory education.

The board concluded by vehemently rebutting and refuting the allegations leveled against it, emphasizing that the accusations are unsubstantial. It assured that the process for facilitating students, including those from schools with specific issues, has already been initiated, with three schools benefiting, and the rest will be facilitated in due course.
