In a proactive move, Jammu and Kashmir DGP R R Swain chaired a meeting to review welfare measures for families of policemen who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism. Emphasizing a duty to care for these families, Swain urged officers to identify and address issues promptly. The ADGP was tasked with sending empathetic officers to connect with families, and individual police officers were directed to adopt a family to foster emotional bonds. Swain stressed the importance of spending quality time with the families and finding inspiring stories of the fallen heroes. Plans include regular visits by DSPs and inspectors to ensure the well-being of martyr families, enhancing existing support services. The initiative aims to strengthen the institutional bond with these families, assuring them of unwavering support from the J&K Police.
