The dedicated team of officers demonstrated exceptional commitment throughout 2023, resulting in noteworthy achievements in enforcing the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In the past year, Kulgam Police registered 212 cases under the NDPS Act, leading to the arrest of 265 drug peddlers. Ten individuals involved in drug peddling were booked under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act/ Public Safety Act (PSA). The police seized a substantial quantity of contraband substances worth crores and impounded 23 vehicles.
