In a historic milestone, the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has orchestrated a remarkable gathering of union leaders, converging on a single platform to champion the authentic needs of employees. Mir Bashir, the spokesperson of J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), passionately underscores the imperative of collective efforts, placing a spotlight on the reinstatement of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), regularization of daily wagers, NHM, Rehbare Khail Employees, Minimum Wage Act, and resolution of genuine demands of corporations, public sector workers, PDD, Revenue, and other departments, including the implementation of 7th CPC and service rules, besides the settlement of promotional/service matters of teaching/non-teaching categories of the education department.

Mir Bashir’s resonating statement emanates from Jammu, where a collaborative spirit permeates the air, emphasizing the pivotal role of unity across the region. “Jammu has embraced a common platform, recognizing the gravity of the situation. President JK EJAC, Wajahat Hussain Durrani, actively engages with like-minded leadership, aligning with the 29-point memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary last week,” he declares, marking a historic collaboration poised to transform the landscape of employee advocacy.

Urging steadfast resistance against divisive forces, Mir Bashir passionately advocates for collective strength, staunchly defending employees’ rights and democratic freedom of speech in the face of government directives. In response to the recent ban on employee protests, he firmly states, “EJAC does not believe in confrontation as it is actually a bridge between the employees and the government. Employees are the main stakeholders, and in democracy, the right to speech is one fundamental right which cannot be denied if practiced through a rightful way.” He added.

Expressing unwavering confidence in Chief Secretary Shri Atal Dullo (IAS), plans unfold for a comprehensive memorandum submission to LG JKUT Shri Manoj Sinha.

In a resounding call to action, Mir Bashir rallies all employees against division, underscoring the Forum’s unwavering commitment to employee welfare through sustained dialogue and proactive engagement.
