BuzzBytes JAMMU, Mar 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated a three-day capacity-building programme on ‘leadership development of academic administrators’ and emphasized the importance of fostering creativity-driven education to empower youth and enhance competitiveness.In his keynote address at the conference, LG Sinha stressed that education should prioritize creativity over curriculum, focusing on nurturing young minds’ creative capacities. He underscored the commitment of the Union Territory to reform and revamp higher education, aiming to equip students with the knowledge and skills to excel globally.”Education should be driven by creativity rather than by curriculum. It should develop the capacities of young people to be creative, serving as a catalyst for a more competitive economy,” remarked Sinha.He commended the collaborative efforts of the University of Jammu and the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) in organizing the workshop, which aims to implement the National Education Policy 2020 and promote the internationalization of higher education.LG Sinha, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, highlighted Jammu Kashmir’s role in leading educational reforms nationwide. He urged educational institutions to transform their campuses into hubs for skill development and innovation, fostering intellectual property creation and driving positive social change.Highlighting the vision for future-oriented education, LG Sinha emphasized the need for classrooms to stimulate imagination and mentorship to thrive in the 21st century. He called upon the teaching community, students, and stakeholders to contribute to establishing Jammu Kashmir as a knowledge economy, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.Furthermore, LG Sinha emphasized creating a conducive environment for foreign students in the Union Territory’s educational institutions, underscoring the importance of global collaboration in advancing educational excellence and innovation.
