Evian-les-Bains, France, Jun 16 (BuzzBytes): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called for a new framework of international cooperation based on solidarity, equality and mutual trust while addressing the Outreach Session of the G7 Summit in France.

Speaking on the theme “Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity,” Modi said the world must move beyond the traditional donor-recipient approach and embrace partnerships founded on shared responsibility and equal participation.

The Prime Minister emphasized that trust remains the cornerstone of effective global cooperation, particularly at a time when countries are increasingly interconnected and face common challenges.

Addressing world leaders, including US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Modi reiterated India’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive global development.

He highlighted India’s “humanity first” approach, reflected through initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, Global Biofuel Alliance, Mission LiFE and the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Modi also underscored that India’s vision of global cooperation is rooted in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “The World is One Family” — and said this principle continues to guide the country’s engagement with the international community.

The Prime Minister arrived in Evian-les-Bains after concluding a two-day visit to Slovakia and held interactions with several world leaders on the sidelines of the summit.

The G7 comprises Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, along with the European Union. The grouping serves as a key platform for discussions on major global economic, financial and geopolitical challenges.
