Modi govt committed for overall development of Ladakh: Ashok Koul

In a recent ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Leh, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization) of BJP Jammu-Kashmir, reiterated the commitment of the Modi-led Union Government towards the comprehensive development of Ladakh. Addressing the gathering at Chushot Panchayat, Leh, Koul highlighted major development projects undertaken by the government. Notable attendees included Ladakh BJP President Phunchok Stanzin, General Secretary Dr. Skalzang Dorjey, LAHDC Leh Councillors Mirza Hussain & Mumtaz Hussain, and Chairperson Block Development Council Chushot Saira Bano.

Koul emphasized the Modi government’s fulfillment of long-pending demands for fast-tracking Ladakh’s development. He commended the liberal flow of funds from the Union government, aiming to achieve unprecedented progress. Concrete steps have been taken to improve employment, reinforce electricity infrastructure, and enhance basic amenities like drinking water and roads. Koul also underscored the government’s emphasis on preserving and nurturing local culture and language.

“The ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ program focuses on fast-tracking development in Ladakh after the formation of the Union Territory, PM Modi’s vision of ‘Development Ki Guarantee,’ and inclusiveness in progress and participation of local people in democracy,” said Koul, highlighting the government’s commitment to the overall development of Ladakh.
