A new political voice is set to rise on India’s national landscape with the forthcoming launch of the National Democratic People’s Alliance (NDPA), a people-centric political movement committed to transparency, inclusivity, and accountability. The NDPA will be the only political party from Jammu and Kashmir to operate on a truly national platform, expanding its presence to all States and Union Territories of India.

The party’s official national launch will be announced in the coming days, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Indian democracy. Khawaja Ubaid from Srinagar will serve as the first National President of the National Democratic People’s Alliance. Haji Mohammad Yaseen will take charge as the first National General Secretary, bringing with him decades of experience in public service and dynamic leadership. Their joint leadership represents a generational shift toward politics rooted in integrity, equality, and national commitment.

The NDPA is founded on the principles of democracy, secularism, and socialism as enshrined in the Constitution of India. The party bears true faith and allegiance to the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of the nation. Its core mission is to build a developed, democratic, and equitable India that ensures equal opportunity, justice, and dignity for all citizens.

The party is dedicated to promoting national integration, empowering the socially and economically disadvantaged, and providing access to education, healthcare, and employment for every citizen. It will campaign against corruption and the misuse of power in politics, striving to restore credibility in public institutions. The NDPA will work to strengthen farmers, laborers, youth, students, women, professionals, and minorities through structured organizational cells and inclusive policies. It will encourage entrepreneurship, industry, and self-reliance across the nation while upholding peace and prosperity through democratic and non-violent means.

The NDPA will function through a multi-tier democratic structure, ensuring representation from the grassroots to the national level. Its framework will include Panchayat or Municipal Ward Councils, Block Councils, District Councils, State Councils, and the National Council. The basic unit of the party will operate at the Panchayat or Ward level where local members will mobilize communities and identify issues. Each Block Council will coordinate local work and elect representatives to the District Council. District Councils will serve as the link between local and state units, while State Councils will implement policy decisions and coordinate with the National Executive. The National Council will act as the highest decision-making body, consisting of delegates from all states, members of Parliament, and former presidents. A Plenary Session will be held every four years to decide policies, review performance, and consider constitutional amendments.

The NDPA will uphold internal democracy by conducting fair elections for all leadership positions every four years. Membership will be open to all Indian citizens above the age of 18 years. Every active member will affirm commitment to the principles of secularism and democracy and contribute a nominal fee. No office within the party will be hereditary or permanent, and all decisions will be made democratically through representative councils.

To ensure broad participation and representation, the party will form several affiliated wings and cells at the national, state, and district levels. These include the Labour Wing, Farmers’ Cell, Youth Wing, Students’ Wing, Women’s Cell, Minority Cell, Legal Cell, Teachers’ Cell, Professional Cell, Doctors’ Cell, and Intellectuals’ Wing. Each unit will work under an elected leadership and remain active in addressing issues relevant to its field.

NDPA will maintain complete transparency in financial and administrative matters. The party’s accounts will be audited annually by a CAG-empanelled auditor and submitted to the Election Commission of India and the Income Tax Department. Party funds will be used only for political and developmental activities that serve the public interest.

Speaking on the eve of the announcement, Khawaja Ubaid, the President-designate, said, “The National Democratic People’s Alliance will not be just another political outfit. It will be a mission to rebuild faith in politics, unite people across regions and religions, and bring governance closer to the people. NDPA will work to make India stronger, fairer, and more humane.”

The national-level launch event of the NDPA will be announced shortly. State conventions and public dialogues will follow across India to introduce the party’s vision, leadership, and national roadmap for a transparent and accountable political culture.
