BuzzBytes Srinager 20 Feb 2024:A weeklong workshop on ‘Advanced Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program (A-ESDP) on 3D Printing – Hands-on Training’ commenced at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar. The workshop, organized by the Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IIEDC) and sponsored by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, is designed to empower entrepreneurs and enhance skills in 3D printing.Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, praised the organizers for their efforts, expressing best wishes to participants. Former Principal REC Srinagar, Prof. Ali Mohammed Bhat, presided as the Chief Guest, emphasizing financial prudence for entrepreneurial ventures. Prof. G.A. Harmain and Prof. Nazir Ahmad Sheikh highlighted the integration of smart technologies and the need for strategic approaches in entrepreneurial endeavors.Head IIEDC, NIT Srinagar, Prof. Saad Parvez, explained the workshop’s goal to foster new enterprises, enhance MSME capabilities, and instill an entrepreneurial culture. The convener, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Rajendran, outlined the program’s tailored approach to 3D printing education, bridging academia and industry. Dr. Sheikh Gulam Mohammad, Director of North Campus, University of Kashmir, delivered the first session on the Introduction to 3D printing, setting the tone for the immersive learning experience. Subsequent sessions covered engineering drawing, Tinker CADD introduction, and hands-on practice with Tinker CADD software. The workshop aims to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in the transformative field of 3D printing.
