Baramulla, Dec 29(Buzzbytes):In a significant move against the rampant drug trade, Baramulla Police took decisive action by booking three notorious drug smugglers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act. The apprehended individuals—Suhail Ahmad Sofi, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, and Waseem Ahmad Dar—residents of Solinda Khaipora Tangmarg and Watalpora Tangmarg, were promptly detained and lodged in Central Jail Kot-balwal Jammu.
Despite being previously implicated in multiple cases, these drug smugglers persisted in promoting drug abuse by supplying narcotics to local youth in Tangmarg and surrounding areas. The Police’s unwavering commitment to tackling this issue has been met with appreciation from the general public in Baramulla.
