JAMMU, May 18: Police today arrested retired Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Aslam Sheikh for publishing copies of First Information Reports (FIRs) and other “sensitive information” in a book.He has been charged under the Official Secrets Act.Sheikh originally hailed from Udhampur and was presently putting up at Gandhi Nagar.Officials said Sheikh, who retired a couple of years back, was recruited as ASI in 1986 and got out of turn promotions to become SP.He published a book including copies of FIRs and some other sensitive information.He is being questioned by the police.
