Pulwama, October 03: Dr. Basharat Qayoom, Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama, inaugurated the Sankalp Saptah initiative in the aspirational block of Ichgoze with great enthusiasm. This week-long campaign is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of residents in Ichgoze and the Aripal block of the district.
The event in Ichgoze featured the establishment of essential healthcare facilities to cater to the local community’s needs, including ANC Clinic, TB Screening, NCD Screening, ABHA Registration, Anaemia Testing, Immunization Drive, Nikshay Mitra Facility, Free Medical Checkup, and Free Medicine Distribution.
In his address, Dr. Basharat emphasized the immense potential of Ichgoze, like many other aspirational blocks, and highlighted that it is the collective responsibility of citizens, community leaders, and government officials to unlock this potential and improve the residents’ lives.
He noted that the government has placed a dedicated focus on the development of these regions, and initiatives like Sankalp Saptah aim to bridge the gap, bringing essential services closer to the people and fostering a brighter future.
Dr. Basharat highlighted the significant impact of government interventions in these areas, improving the quality of life and providing opportunities for growth and prosperity.
The week-long program, which runs from October 3rd to October 9th, 2023, includes various activities in Aspirational blocks of Ichgoze and Aripal. These activities encompass health, nutrition, cleanliness, agriculture, education, livelihoods, and community development, with events taking place in every Panchayat across the twin blocks.
The event was attended by the Chief Medical Officer of Pulwama, Block Medical Officer of Rajpora, Tehsildar, and Block Development Officer.
