Peerzada Shariq Shopian, December 18 – The Sqay Martial Arts Tournament, organized by CRPF 178 battalion in collaboration with Sqay Martial Association Shopian, concluded today at Imamsahib Shopian, marking a significant step towards promoting sports and peace in the region.

ADG CRPF Nalin Prabhat, IG CRPF Gyanendra Verma, DIG CRPF Alok Awasthy, and SSP Shopian Tanushree graced the event as chief guests, witnessing a display of skill and determination from martial art players.

The tournament, held with great enthusiasm, showcased the culmination of intense dedication from martial art players in Shopian. ADG CRPF Nalin Prabhat emphasized the transformative power of sports, stating that only sports can decline militancy and prevent youth from falling into the clutches of drugs. He highlighted the positive shift in Shopian, once known for militancy, now gaining popularity in sports activities.

Addressing the crowd, ADG CRPF Nalin Prabhat expressed confidence in eliminating militancy in Kashmir, mentioning that those who have chosen the path of violence by joining various militant groups will be dealt with decisively. He assured the use of every tool to eradicate militancy in the region.
