Anantnag, Aug 13 (BuzzBytes): A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the Dandipora area of Kokernag, situated in the southern region of Kashmir’s Anantnag district. A fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle has resulted in the loss of one life and left two individuals injured.According to an official statement, the unfortunate accident occurred when an Alto 800 with registration number JK18B 2766, driven by Athar Yaqoob Wagay, a resident of Wantrag Kehribal, collided with a motorcycle bearing the license plate JK03L 2266. The motorcyclist, identified as Aarif Hussain Chopan (38), along with his son Moomin Aarif Chopan (5), sustained critical injuries from the impact.Tragedy struck even further as the driver of the Alto car and another passenger, Sahil Javid Khaki, who hails from Mattan, also suffered injuries in the collision. Swift action was taken to evacuate the injured individuals, who were rushed to SDH Kokernag for initial medical treatment. However, the severity of Aarif Hussain Chopan’s injuries necessitated his transfer, along with his son, to the District Hospital Anantnag for more advanced care.Regrettably, the journey to the hospital took a tragic turn as Aarif Chopan succumbed to his injuries en route, leaving a somber note of loss and grief.Confirming the incident, a police official stated that a case has been registered to facilitate thorough investigations into the matter.
