Tagore Hall 12 Feb: The curtains fell on the three-day Winter Youth Festival “Jashn-e-Sheen” today at Tagore Hall, marking the conclusion of a spectacular showcase of performing arts. Organized by Actors’ Creative Theatre in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages, the festival received generous support from J&K Bank Ltd.The festival’s overarching theme centered on unveiling the remarkable talent of young and emerging artists from the valley. Today’s performances witnessed fresh and raw singers captivating the audience with enchanting renditions of traditional Kashmiri songs, Hindi Bollywood songs, ghazals, semi-classical, and rap songs.The diverse program also featured captivating presentations of Kashmiri Dance, Punjabi Dance, Dogri Dance, and Pahadi Dance, adding a colorful and dynamic element to the cultural celebration. A special highlight was the participation of visually impaired singers from various corners of the valley, showcasing resilience and artistic prowess.Dedicated to the memory of the late Farooq Nazki Sahab, a revered poet, visionary, and former Director of Doordarshan and All India Radio, the festival paid tribute to his lasting impact on the cultural landscape.The Closing Ceremony hosted Mr. Abid Hussain, the Additional Commissioner (Kashmir), as the Chief Guest, alongside Guests of Honor, including Sayed Humayun Qaisar, Muslim Jan, Tariq Javaid, Adv. Shahwar Gowhar, Showkat Shafi, Parvez Manoos, Dr. Syed Iftikhar, and other prominent citizens of the Valley.Chief Guest and speakers lauded the dedicated efforts of Actors Creative Theatre and its creative director, Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, in orchestrating an event that showcased the vibrant cultural tapestry of the region.Mushtaaque Ali expressed gratitude to his dedicated team and extended thanks to the enthusiastic audience who showed unwavering support over the three days.
